Back to Old School
Back to Old School – A Recap of an Event Full of Tattoos, Art, and Exceptional People. Three incredible days are behind us, ones that will stay in the memory of everyone who visited our studio at the end of September. “Back to Old-School” wasn’t just a tattoo gathering, but a celebration of the old school culture, packed with inspiring meetings, workshops, and music.
Tattoos, music, community – simply the vibe!
From Friday to Sunday, our studio in Gdańsk became a haven for fans of traditional tattoos. Over 30 old-school artists from all over Poland and abroad came together to celebrate this unique style. A style that for decades has amazed with its simplicity, strength, and authenticity. We had tattoo artists from cities such as Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań, Łódź, Katowice, and even special guests from abroad.
Friday – kicking off with tradition in the background
The first day started calmly but creatively – with traditional drawing workshops led by Sławomir Nitschke. The atmosphere was amazing! Sławek passionately shared techniques of working with watercolors, revealing the secrets of creating patterns inspired by classic old school. It was a great opportunity for both beginners and experienced artists to try something new, sharpen their skills, and feel the power that lies in simple forms. The workshops were filled with conversations, browsing through albums, and of course, painting. After such a start, everyone was ready for the upcoming tattoo-filled days.
Saturday – a day full of walk-ins, music, and unforgettable moments
Saturday was a true explosion of energy! From early morning, our studio was filled with guests who came for walk-ins – tattoos without prior booking. The rule was simple: you drop by, choose a design from the available sheets, and you’re already on the couch. Fast, no unnecessary formalities, just pure emotions!
The whole day was accompanied by live music from our DJs, and with an open bar, people could relax. Many visitors also picked up unique gadgets and hand-made merch from our guests.
But that wasn’t all! In the evening, we gathered at Pub Spółdzielczy for the after party. It was the perfect moment to share impressions, talk about tattoos. Simply have a great time until the late hours of the night.
Sunday – the final day, but still full of excitement!
The last day of “Back to Old-School” was another opportunity for walk ins and grabbing your dream. Tattoo in the old school style. The vibe was a bit calmer, but no less intense. Those who didn’t make it on Saturday could come and immerse themselves in the world of tattoos and artistic craftsmanship once again. Despite two intense days, our guests didn’t slow down and kept creating incredible designs for old school fans until the very end.
Guests we won’t forget
Our event was graced by true stars of the tattoo world. Among them were: Julia Zakrzewska, Kris, Leszek, Kamila Barwin, Sławomir and Weronika Nitschke, Kamil Naszkowski, Krzysztof Renton Stelmach, Tomasz Pniak, Tomek from Black Needle, Radek Mozda, Biak, Patryk Maksymów, Paweł Tabacki, Alex, Monika Ubysz, Michał Nowak, Piotr Baczyński, Serwal, Paweł Szotek, Łukasz Michalski, Natalia, Kacper Nowotarski, and Filip Ogorzelec. Artists from Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań, Łódź, Katowice, and many other cities joined us. We were also honored by international guests like Samowar from Estonia. Their presence gave the event an international dimension. For those three days, Sztorm Studio became the center of the old-school tattoo scene.
